Zola Craft Gallery - Gifts as unique as you

American Craft Week

October 7th, 2011

October 7-16 is American Craft Week!

Craft Retailers and Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT) have designated this week to recognize “the countless ways handmade objects enrich our daily lives and contribute to our national aesthetic and economy.”

To celebrate North Carolina’s history of craftsmanship and promote our local artists, we will spotlight a different artist each day this week on our website and facebook page. And… if you purchase something by an NC artist you will receive a coupon for 20% off an additional item of your choice.

You can also win a $250 or $150 shopping spree at Zola by entering the essay and/or photo contest! (Click to see complete rules and details.) Last year’s winner was a Zola customer – congratulations to Gwen Palmer! Read her winning essay.

gifts for mom & grad

April 29th, 2011

Zola has been a popular destination for years with locals looking for meaningful gifts for Moms & grads. Mother’s Day is all about sentimentality, and we have many items that will warm Mom’s heart. Some perennial favorites include StoryPeople prints by Brian Andreas, Spooner Creek hand carved quotation tiles, and everything by Curly Girl artist Leigh Standley. Each year we try to find something new, and this year is no exception. If you’re searching for something out of the ordinary to tell Mom “thank you” or to congratulate a graduate, check out our new gift guides or stop by the store and let us help you find the perfect gift.

Happy celebrating!

Spring Cleaning Sale / Trade-in

March 16th, 2011

We’ve added a new twist to our Spring Cleaning Sale…the trade-in!

If you’ve been doing some Spring cleaning of your own, bring in something old and trade it for something new! We’ll take your old stuff* and give you a coupon for 20% off a non-sale item of your choice.

*old stuff must be in good condition and small enough to store/transport – jewelry, clothing, small household items. Everything will be donated to a local non-profit.

The sale /trade-in goes through the end of March so spring on over.

Also – don’t forget to vote for us in the Independent Weekly’s Best of the Triangle poll!!

Spring cleaning sale at Zola

March 2nd, 2011

It’s that time of year again… daffodils and crocuses are starting to bloom, warm winds are blowing and Zola is having its annual Spring Cleaning Sale!

We have to make room for all the Spring and Summer items that will be arriving over the next couple months, so we’re putting nearly everything else on sale. In addition to a 50% off table, you will find items all over the store that have been marked down.

The sale goes through the end of March with new items added each week, so stop in, say hello, see what’s new and what’s reduced.

Also… last year Zola was a finalist in the Independent Weekly’s Best of the Triangle and we didn’t even solicit votes! This year, however, we’re shamelessly asking you to take a minute to vote for us as “Best Craft or Gift Shop” so we can go for the win! You’ll find this category on page 4 of 7, along with “Best Place to Buy Last-Minute Gifts” which we’d also be happy to win.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!
